A New Leaf

I have been pining to start a blog for a long time now as a matter of fact I signed up for this months ago and after coming up with what I thought was the perfect title I found multiple excuses not to write anything, and they are as follows:
  • Procrastination 1: Who wants to read about my daily activities, no one cares what you had for breakfast.
  • Procrastination 2: I have no time, instead I find random things to clean, reorganizing picture albums seems like an acceptable use of my time.
  • Procrastination 3: Napping also seemed like an acceptable use of my time.
and of course the ever so popular.....
  • Procrastination 4: What could I possibly write about that is interesting to people?
So, my solution to all of this?  Get over it and get to writing something otherwise this wonderfully titled blog will just be a space in the black hole of blogs.  My theory is that since I have a wide array of interests I will share the exciting, titillating, enamoring and perhaps sometimes the really really boring (not my thought but I can't please everyone) aspects of these things in my life.  So I am a junkie of the following:
  • Public Relations: it is true, I thoroughly enjoyed my major in college and everything I have done since then that pertains to this topic.  Therefore when I find something interesting in the PR/Mar/Comm/Adv world I will share it with you.
  • Cleveland: the town that lives and breathes sounds of disgust from outsiders and stern warnings of "don't mess with me" from insiders.  We're known for our die-hard sports fans and banning of glass bottles from stadiums to that really small disaster that set the river on fire.  But we are also known for a few other brilliant things, hidden gems and of course what I consider to be one of the best skylines.  If I could marry a city I would.
  • Art: it's in my blood, an artist from the age I could hold a pencil, a photographer from my first look at a camera and an appreciator from my first visit to a museum.  There will definitely be a featured piece of artwork or artist once a week.
  • French: 10 years of my time and I have happened to not only minor but become slightly obsessed with French things, I'll share those as well.
  • Coffee: some people smoke, some people drink, some people dance...I drink coffee, I am skilled in making various coffee beverages.
  • Vegetarianism: I have been one for about 4 years now and have learned a few things, cooked a couple recipes, experienced a few disasters and beheld some veggie miracles.
  • Baking: I am known for my skookies and took-way-to-much-time-to-decorate-them sugar cookies.
So there you have it, a list of potential topics or blurbs I may introduce to you my followers on any given day.  If for any reason I may offend you in the future (which I don't believe I will do, I have a generally super sweet disposition) please refrain from sending me hate mail or otherwise nasty things, however I'll read anything about why you didn't like what I had to say .  But on the flip side if I write something you absolutely adore I will with open arms accept nice words and of course as the title of my blog suggests fabulous high heels (I wear a size 10 if you were curious) no pressure though.  Thanks you for reading the beginning of my blog.  Wishing everyone a great Monday!
Jessica
